About the book
Banksy Captured is a two-volume photographic archive of Banksy’s work between 1997 and 2008, shot by Steve Lazarides — his photographer, agent, and closest collaborator during those years. Self-published by AART SPACE. More than 10,000 photographs, most of which had never been seen before the books. Cited as a primary source by Reuters in March 2026 and independently by the Daily Mail.
Two. Volume 1 and Volume 2 paperbacks, each available as signed or unsigned; plus a Limited Edition Hardback for Volume 2. Paperbacks are ongoing editions (Vol 1 is currently on its Second Edition, Vol 2 on its Third Edition); the Hardback is a numbered, finite run.
No. Banksy Captured is Steve Lazarides’s own photographic archive from his eleven years working alongside Banksy, self-published through AART SPACE. It carries no endorsement from Banksy or Pest Control Office. It’s first-hand documentation by the photographer who was there — not an authorised biography or catalogue.
They’re different kinds of book. Wall and Piece is an artist-authored compendium of finished works. Banksy Captured is Steve Lazarides’s behind-the-scenes photographic archive from eleven years inside the process — warehouse sessions, late-night street pieces, and the major shows as they happened. Most photographs in Banksy Captured had never been published before the books.
The paperbacks are ongoing editions with no fixed print run — they’re reprinted in editions as stock runs down. The Volume 2 Limited Edition Hardback is the only genuinely finite edition: numbered out of 5,000 copies, with a pink linen slipcase. Once those 5,000 ship, that edition is closed.
Yes. Signed paperbacks of both volumes, plus a signed Limited Edition Hardback, all hand-signed by Steve Lazarides. Steve signs in batches; when a signed variant is out of stock it usually means the current batch is exhausted and the next signing hasn’t been scheduled.
The contents and production are identical. The signed variant carries Steve Lazarides’s signature — usually on the title page. Same archive, same binding, same paper. The signature is the only difference.
Yes. The Volume 2 Limited Edition Hardback is numbered out of 5,000 copies and ships in a pink linen slipcase; the number is printed inside the book. The paperbacks are not numbered — they’re printed as ongoing editions.
